T.W. Doyle 8 string one-of-a-kind electric guitar. Signed & dated (1992) by the builder, who was Les Paul's personal guitar tech and builder in later years. The bridge and tailpiece were custom made and signed and dated as well (see photos). Beautiful jet-black ebony fingerboard with smooth, polished frets. Plays like a dream up and down the neck. The multi-piece neck (set) has a great, thin profile. There are wonderful contours on the back, including a custom control cavity cover which matches the grain on the back, just incredible. On the upper bout was installed a Boss TU-12 tuner that was internally wired, with 2 1/4" plugs built in (see photos). The original pick up was not working and has been replaced with a nice 8 string Seymour Duncan, but will be included with the guitar. Gold Schaller tuners work well. Has a faux tear-drop shaped f hole. Flamey top is striking with tiger maple bindings. Excellent condition throughout. Gig bag. Additional photos on request.
