GE Smith has had an incredible career from Hall & Oates to leading the SNL band. When tasked to design his ideal guitar with Fender, Smith chose a thick U-shape necked Telecaster. The neck measures around .95" at the first fret, which is definitely in the chunky realm. This model also has unique inlays and a unique bridge plate/pickup mounting design.
