I also own a Fender Custom Shop bass, and to be honest, I can hardly tell the difference in quality. This bass weighs about 4 kg with the ashtray covers installed, making it very lightweight for a Precision Bass.Maintenance completedCondition:The bass is in excellent condition, though the nitro finish has aged and developed a vintage look. There are no paint chips, but there is weather checking across the body. There are a few dings, but all the paint is still on. The neck also has minor weather checking, though it’s not noticeable to the touch. The neck is thick and very comfortable. The fingerboard edges are rolled, and the fret ends are smooth, much like a Fender Custom Shop. The truss rod functions perfectly, but there’s a small scratch near the truss rod access point on the pickguard from using a wrench (see the last photo). The side of the body (not the front or back but the narrow edge) has a slight yellow tint near the top. I’ve tried to show this area as clearly as possible in the photos.Overall, it’s in great condition and has naturally aged, similar to a Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic.Specs:Maple neckRosewood fingerboard7.25" radiusAlder bodyNitrocellulose lacquer finishPure Vintage '63 pickups I've compared this to an American Original 60s and it has more clarity and punch
