Description

An all-original red Mustang, through and through, from 1965 with all pre-CBS features, including "clay" dots, which changed to perloid during 1965, and the single-line tuners. The neck is the full scale for a Mustang, so 24". This is an A-width neck measuring 38mm at the nut, so a slimmer nut width than the later '65 and '66 Mustangs. The neck has a smooth feeling through the entire fret board, the frets are still in great condition. You'll notice from the pictures that the finish is in great condition, with the expected checking. The original pickups sound great and the electronics are clean. The guitar was set up by a luthier in Paris with 11-gauge Ernie Balls, so this guitar is ready to go as-is.The hard shell case is also original and in good condition. The vibrato arm and bridge cover (not pictured) are also original. It really is the full package.I'm not looking for any trades, so please don't get in touch offering one.

About Mustang

The Fender Mustang, a guitar that made its debut in 1964, remains a beloved choice for musicians across various genres. Originally designed as a student model, its lightweight body and unique design quickly found a home in the hands of professional players. Known for its shorter 24-inch scale length, the Mustang features distinctive pickup configurations that provide a wide array of tonal possibilities. Its comfortable playability has made it a staple in the arsenals of indie and alternative rock artists for decades.
