The Gibson Southern Jumbo model was the top of the line slope shoulder offered in the line-up. While J-45 like in tonal character, this SJ is dressed up with stacked binding, parallelogram inlays, a crown/Gibson-logo inlay in the headstock, bound fingerboard, and individual tuners. In the grand scheme of aesthetics, it's still subtle and understated. The braces on these pre-1955 models are scalloped; which helps with the dynamic warmth. This example is in excellent playing condition and is in from the family of the original owner.Comes with Period correct Gibson chipboard case with replaced handle
