Description

Rare Gibson Custom Shop Tom Murphy Aged R7 HIstoric Reissue. These highly desirable guitars were hand-aged by Tom Murphy himself using a razor blade, as opposed to the modern 'Murphy Lab' guitars where Tom simply oversees a team at Gibson and less intricate freezing methods are used instead. It has a Mahogany body with Maple cap, fairly chunky Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, vintage style Gibson Deluxe tuners and '57 Classic pickups which sound superb. The ageing is stunning in person and very realistic/authentic - we've tried to capture this on the close-up photos. The plastics have all been updated to premium aged black which looks fantastic, however the original cream plastics are included in the case and can be easily changed back if preferred. We've included a single photo of the guitar with the cream plastics to provide a flavour of how this looks in comparison. It comes complete with its original paperwork, COA (signed by the Tom himself) and its Custom Shop case to keep this fantastic investment guitar protected.
