Description

Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1993 Rickenbacker 650A Atlantis in Turquoise. It has a great playing neck with great frets. It's all original and 100% complete along with its original hardshell case. It's in very good condition with only a few minor nicks + dings, a very short deep scratch in the wood on the treble side back of the neck in the area between the 14th + 15th frets and other minor cosmetic wear. Everything remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great. We are happy to ship internationally.

About 1993

The Rickenbacker 1993 is a unique and rare model of electric guitar produced by Rickenbacker, known for its distinctive features and limited availability. Introduced in the 1960s, the Rickenbacker 1993 is often associated with musicians like Pete Townshend of The Who, who used this guitar during the band's early years. One of the most notable features of the Rickenbacker 1993 is its stereo capabilities, which was somewhat uncommon at the time of its production. The guitar features a "Ric-O-Sound" stereo output, allowing players to send the signal from each pickup to separate amplifiers or channels. This feature provides greater tonal versatility and allows for more complex soundscapes. In terms of construction, the Rickenbacker 1993 typically features a semi-hollow body design, which contributes to its unique tonal characteristics and resonance. The body is crafted from high-quality woods, and the guitar often features Rickenbacker's signature "cresting wave" body contour, which enhances comfort and playability. The Rickenbacker 1993 is often finished in the classic Fireglo color, a deep red sunburst finish that adds to its vintage appeal. Due to its limited production and unique features, the Rickenbacker 1993 is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Its association with iconic musicians like Pete Townshend has further contributed to its desirability among guitar aficionados.
