Stage played with Johnny Cash concert in 1957! Originally purchased new in the early 1950s by its first owner in Edmonton, it was used to back up one song during a Johnny Cash concert at Edmonton Gardens on May 10, 1957. The guitar remained with its original owner, largely unplayed, until 2016 when it was sold to a Montreal collector. During shipping, the guitar developed three cracks on the top, which were professionally repaired. A K&K under-bridge pickup was also installed by the collector’s luthier. The third owner picked it up in 2017 before making its way to us now.
Condition: Shows typical wear, including repaired top cracks, but plays beautifully with clear, open tones and excellent resonance.A fantastic find for vintage collectors and players alike, offering legendary Southern Jumbo tone and a direct connection to a piece of musical history.
