This is a super nice players grade 1964 Gibson Firebird III. Is has a nice big fat chunky neck. The pickups sound amazing. There is a crack in the headstock, which is stable as its not a fully break. You could leave it as is and play it or have your luthier touch it up with some glue. The other thing to note is this guitar is no longer setup with the original Lyre vibrola. Someone back in the 70s changed the bridge to an ABR-1, and made the original Firebird III bridge a stop tail, adding studs. A lot of people will really like this setup, as you get the sound and feel of a vintage Firebird III but without the tuning instability of a Lyre. It’s priced appropriately for one with issues. Shipping is prices at $500 as this will need to ship in a new Gibson chainsaw hardshell Firebird case.
I will ship the original case, which is in poor condition, in a seperate box. Please give 2-3 weeks for shipping as I will have to order this case once it sells, then ship you the guitar. If there are other options you would like, let me know.
Let me know if you have any questions.
