The guitar was purchased brand new on 11/02/23 (pre-ordered in '22) from an authorised PRS dealer for £9,999. The original invoice will be included. It was sadly only owned for a few short months before the buyer passed away. As the photographs bear witness, the guitar was lovingly cared for. It is in entirely mint condition throughout having only had extremely light usage and has been carefully stored away nearly all of its life since purchase. As you'd expect, the specification on this guitar is outstanding with the timber selection being second to none. Finished in a vivid Citrus Glow, the dramatic yellow tones meld into a lustrous orange hue, perfectly highlighting the densely figured Private Stock Curly Maple top.This contrasts beautifully with the Smoked Black Hardware and a simply cracking selection of Black Limba used for the body and Pattern profile neck. A richly figured Ziricote fingerboard, truss rod cover and headstock veneer perfectly complete the guitar's dynamic look.The combination of unique tonewoods results in a Special Semi that has an engaging percussive nature to it when A/B-ing it against a Core version that we currently have in stock. Notes sustain and project exceptionally well, this is a very fun instrument to play!This Private Stock Special is spec'd with a Smoked Black PRS Gen III tremolo bridge and Phase III set-screw locking tuners for the ultimate in stability. The tuners feature Ziricote buttons to match the headstock and fingerboard. A hum-cancelling Narrowfield pickup, with its blend of mini-humbucker & P90-esque warmth, perfectly complements a pair of 58/15 humbuckers at the bridge and neck. Known for their clarity, the 58/15s are highly articulate whilst being warm and full-bodied. It should be noted that volume levels are very smooth when transitioning between the humbuckers to the Narrowfield and vice-versa. A little-known secret about 58/15s on this model is that they can implement a true isolated split (operated via mini-toggles). This is as opposed to a standard split which grounds the surplus coil, the isolated split completely removes it from the circuit. Included for free in the sale is a £400 custom-made Randy padded leather strap. The owner had it crafted to compliment the colours of the Citrus Glow finish and it is adorned with leather PRS birds along its length. Black Schaller strap locks and buttons have been fitted to the guitar and strap (original PRS strap buttons included in case).
