Description

This rare Sonic Blue 1965 Fender Jaguar is 100% stock and in excellent condition, with a few minor dings, some buckle marks on the back, and light checking, showing minimal playwear. The neck has never been removed, and aside from taking off the guard to authenticate it, we believe that not a single screw has been turned on this custom-color CBS-era beauty. The pots date to 1964 so this is an untouched, early transition-era example. The Jaguar stands out in Fender’s lineup with its shorter scale length and unique single-coil Jag pickups, delivering distinctive tones with crystal-clear lows, defined note separation, and midrange bark for plenty of versatility. An incredible, super-clean example! Includes original hardshell case.

About Jaguar

The Fender Jaguar is an iconic electric guitar first introduced in 1962. Known for its distinctive offset body shape and short scale length of 24 inches, this guitar originally found favor with surf musicians but later gained popularity among alternative rock and indie musicians. Its characteristic tone and versatile switching system, including multiple tone and pickup selectors, have made it a popular choice for players seeking a wide range of sounds. Typically featuring a rosewood fretboard, maple neck, and alder body, the Jaguar is available in classic finishes like Sunburst, Olympic White, and Candy Apple Red.
