Description

This one of kind Fender Telecaster was built by Masterbuilder Yuriy Shishkov in 2008. The guitar is a '63 spec Telecaster with lots of unique features. The most impressive feature is definitively the neck which is made of a beautiful hand-stained AAA birdseye maple blank. The neck is a large C shape with a 9.50" radius, abalone dot inlays and side markers. The body is made of ash and the top is made of AAA flamed maple, both hand-stained in trans black. On top, other than the Bigsby B5, there is a 4-ply aged white pearl pickguard that matches the side binding of the guitar. Plus, there is a comfort cut on the back.In terms of pickups, the bridge is a hand-wound '63 and the neck is a Seymour Duncan JB. For those who want single coil tones, there is an S-1 switch to split the humbucker (push-push volume knob).Despite the Bigsby, it only weighs 8.5 pounds or 3.86 kg.The guitar comes in its original hardshell case and with its certificate of authenticity and shop floor traveler spec sheet.Condition wise, here are 3 things to be aware: 1) Being a trans black finish, you can expect some light swirl marks on the body, front and back.2) There are a few scurf marks on the upper side of the Bigsby from the arm resting on it (pictured).3) For some reason, the first “e” of the Fender logo on the headstock fell off even if the outline remains intact.Specs from the Shop Floor Traveler sheet:General: Custom Tele NOS Black Trans w/Bigsby - Masterbuilt Yuriy ShishkovBase Model: 63 TeleFinish Type: New Old StockCase: Black Tolex Amp LogoPlating: Chrome/Nickel HardwareBody:Bodywood: GTR & Bass AshTop: Flame “AAA” TopBody Spread: 2 PieceBody Style: 63 TeleNeck Pickup: Seymour Duncan JBBridge Pickup: 63 TeleControl: 63 Tele NOSAccessory: 63 TeleBody Finish: UrethaneBody Notes:Hand-Stained Trans BlackBigsby B-5Neck:Like: Custom Class Tele MNNeck Finish: Polyurethane PlyNeck Blank: Birdseye “AAA”Truss Rod: Bi-flex AM STDNo. of Frets: 22Tuning Keys: Sperzel Trim-LokHead Style: TeleHead Scoop: AM STDHead Thickness: 0.575"Fret Wire: Medium Jumbo / 6150Facedots: Abalone .250 x .060Dot Spacing: NarrowFret Board Radius: 9.50"Nut Width: 1.6875"Neck Shape: Large “C”Neck Spec 1st: 0.875"12th Fret: 0.950"Neck binding: NoNut: Bone (GTR & J-Bass)Side Dots: Abalone 3/32"Headstock Binding: NoDecal: Custom Classic TeleNeck Notes:Hand-Stained Neck Trans BlackHardware:Bridge Plate: Jag/Jaz Channel PostBridge Saddles: No EntryOutput: Vintage TeleNeck Plate: Yuriy S. About Telecaster

The Fender Telecaster, known affectionately as the "Tele," emerged as the first mass-produced solid-body electric guitar, marking a significant milestone in music history. Its straightforward design and innovative sound paved the way for new trends in electric guitar manufacturing and popular music. Since its debut in the 1950s, the Telecaster has been celebrated for its versatility, serving artists across genres from country to jazz, rock, and beyond. Its solid construction, characterized by a single-cutaway body made typically from alder or ash and a bolt-on maple neck, contributes to its distinct, bright, and cutting tone as well as a warm, mellow sound depending on pickup selection. With minor modifications over the years, the Telecaster has remained largely faithful to its original design, featuring two single-coil pickups, a three-way selector switch, and simple volume and tone controls. This enduring design has kept the Telecaster relevant and in continuous production, solidifying its status as a beloved icon in the guitar world.
