Platinum award-winning artist Brooke Ligertwood - best known in German-speaking countries for the song “Something in the Water” from 2011 - developed her own signature model in collaboration with Martin. She wanted to combine two classics, taking the best features from each. Firstly the “000-28EC Eric Clapton” and secondly the acoustic model of Paul Simon. The resulting signature guitar offers a nut width of just 4.29 cm and the pleasant “Modified V” neck profile. Comparatively slim, but super comfortable to play. This acoustic also features a solid Indian rosewood body and an attractive Sitka spruce top with VTS treatment in a beautiful Sunburst finish. The VTS process causes the wood to age artificially, replicating the sound and appearance of a real old guitar in a phenomenal way. The classy look is completed by the artist's signature on the 20th fret of the ebony fingerboard, an attractive wreath inlay on the headstock, black bridge pins with abalone dots, filigree inlays on the rosette and a binding made of European flamed maple. In addition, each instrument has a hand-signed custom label and consecutive model numbers. In addition to its comfortable playability and absolute top look this signature model impresses with an extremely warm and defined sound. Tight basses, radiant sparkle in the trebles and a super balanced, direct and assertive sound.
