Here's a 1979/80 Music Man Stingray Bass in Sunburst finish. Fantastic pre-Ernie Ball example! No breaks/cracks. The neck date is June 4, 1979, and the body is January 3, 1980. Pots date to 1979. So this beauty was essentially built in '79, with a final assembly at the very beginning of '80. The neck was originally a rare factory fretless neck, that was converted to have frets (how it is now). The neck plays smooth as can be, with easy playing action. Frets are good to go as well. All the rest of the parts and electronics are original, including the micro powered pre-amp and humbucker. Amazing the range you can get out of a 1 pickup bass! Sounds so so good. And condition wise, besides some vibey checking, overall it's in really nice shape! Nothing like a pre-Ernie Ball Sting Ray. HSC...
