Collings acoustic guitar made in Austin, Texas in 2008. Serial number 14305. According to Collings shipping records, this guitar shipped from the factory on 2/25/2008.Nice players grade dreadnaught from one of the best boutique manufacturers of distinctive guitars. This is a fine playing example with minimal playwear and the added bonus of a transducer style pickup mounted on the bridge plate and ported through a 1/4" jack to the end pin. The body is constructed of dark uniform Indian Rosewood with a herringbone binding on the Spruce top. The bridge and fingerboard are ebony and the fingerboard has an attractive diamond shaped snowflake for fret markers. The back of the neck is clean and has a conservative C shape. The only notable repair is a top repair along a Spruce grain-line from about the bass bridge pin to the lower bout. The repair has been professionally glued and cleated and is stable and unconcerning.
