A Jose Ramirez 1a from the golden era. This period is considered the golden era of Ramirez, after Ramirez III implemented all of his novelties (asymmetrical bracing, red cedar tops, double sides), but before the quality declined in 1970 due to significant increase in production volume. In particular, this guitar has a very comfortable action and is overall easy to play, compared to '70s Ramirezes. The famous Ramirez 1a of Segovia was built in 1969.The condition is very good for a Ramirez from the 60s: playing marks, shown in photos, and a few scratches. Finish on the back of the neck worn out, shown in photos. No structural issues, no repairs. Plays great with a signature Ramirez sound. A striking set of Brazilian rosewood is used for back and sides.
