Blonde with aged finish and hardware. Unbelievably light at just six pounds (and that’s with a Bigsby!) and with the 7/8ths body size this I-30 LC is an incredibly handy guitar. Fully-hollow laminate flamed maple body with trestle bracing for unmatched acoustic coupling of the long mortise-and-tenon-jointed Honduran mahogany neck and tail block resulting in incredible resonance and liveliness. ’60s neck profile with 1 & 11/16″ nut and 24 & 7/8″ scale length. The fingerboard is bound Indian rosewood with dot inlays, nickel Kluson tuners are fitted, and the headstock veneer is lovely ebony with the Collings logo inlaid in mother of pearl. The strings pass over a pair of tremendous-sounding black dogear ThroBak 52/54 P-90s on their way to a nickel-plated Kluson ABR-1 and the aforementioned Bigsby.
