Only 500 R9's were made for the US market in 2001.  The makeover includes: Steam out the neck, remove the fingerboard with a heat blanket, remove truss rod with sheath and install correct 50's type truss rod, install beautiful dark 50's looking Brazilian fingerboard with nitrate inlays, reshape the neck profile to Vintage 59 specs. Finish with correct aniline dyes, nitro lacquer,  restamp S/N, CTS Premium 500K pots, NOS Russian PIO caps, Kluson nonwire  ABR 1 bridge, featherweight tailpiece, ThroBak JW102B PAF style pickup, Jescar 57110 frets, Kluson style or Grover tuners.  The guitar weighs 8lbs. 8oz. with Kluson tuners and 8lbs 12oz with the Grovers (your choice).  Includes original Gibson HS case & JamCity Guitars COA.  Buyer to pay $300.
