The tone is magical and the epitome of what comes from the Lowden factory. I received this new in 2021 and it remains in like-new condition. There is no sign of wear and it ships in a like-new Custom Lowden Ameritage case. This Ancient Cuban Mahogany is not only gorgeous but has a magical tone that I would describe as a blend of Mahogany and Brazilian Rosewood.New price for this guitar, if there was any more Ancient Cuban Mahogany (which George Lowden has to find reclaimed from old church construction and sometimes pews) is over $10,000.When George finds, and reclaims, Ancient Cuban Mahogany, he only finds enough for a few guitars at a time. I've not seen any other ACM guitars with the smooth, creamy grain of this guitar.
