Vintage GUILD Starfire V Cherry Red 1966. In overall good condition with original parts. Made in the USA.The pickups are original. Also the pick guard and tuners appear to be original, as is the Guild bigsby. Master volume knob, 2 volume 2 tone controls. Aluminum bridge Three way toggle switch. There is wear on the back of the neck and some wear on the back of the body. The frets are good with some wear apparent on the first and second frets. The action is good and it is very playable. Electronics are functioning. It does have a repair on the input jack. A metal plate was installed.The input jack functions properly. The guitar comes with the guild hardcase which is worn but functional. As for the cosmetic conditions, the photos tell the story. If you need a close up of a particular area I will try to accommodate you.I have evaluated this Starfire V as good condition. Were it not repaired at the jack input, I would have given it a very good rating. It is priced accordingly.Please ask questions BEFORE you make a bid, if you are a serious buyer. I describe instruments as best and honestly as I can. These are older instruments that all have a history before I owned them. Do not expect a new instrument. Vintage guitars that are great players are my specialty and I do check to see if parts are original , but I do not disassemble them to dig deeper. If you need guarantees about the guitar's internal parts, then please shop elsewhere. Guild is the brand that I collect the most and have the most experience with.
