Here's an ultra rare, 1930 Martin Paramount Style L acoustic resonator in natural finish. This is the first example we've ever seen!! And probably the last. Martin made approximately 36 acoustic resonator guitars in 1930, with the Paramount name, for William Lange. The Paramount Guitar was offered in three styles: Regular Spanish Guitar like this one, Hawaiian Steel Guitar, and Tenor Guitar. All styles were built with a double Brazilian Rosewood body. With the exception of the tuners and bridge, everything else on the guitar is original. The bridge is a faithful reproduction, made by hand, in-house, by our luthier. It looks fantastic!! There's a few professionally repaired top cracks, along with one on the side, and one on the back. All are completely structurally sound. The original pickguard is also not with the guitar. Features include a spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, along with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The neck which is 14 frets to the body, has a very soft V profile, and plays great! Every note rings and sings. And there's nothing quite like the tone of the guitar. It's very cutting and clear, while having power and volume, without tone distortion. Sounds great!! Besides this being a collectors dream, it's wonderfully inspiring (and fun) to play. The guitar comes with a high quality after market hardshell case.Weight- 4lbs 7ozNut Width- 1.75" (at the bottom of the nut)Before shipping, all guitars & basses receive a fresh, deep clean, along with a pro setup to your spec's!
