The 25.5" scale'Maple' neck is set and glued into the body, and features an 'Ebony" fingerboard. A red ‘Lace Sensor’ humbucker at the bridge teams with a gold in the middle and a blue at the neck to deliver a variety of tones in conjunction with the 5 way blade switch works and  2 position coil-tap micro switch. A Fender 2 point tremolo unit teams with an LSR roller nut, and locking tuners setting this guitar up  a for rock solid performance. The gorgeous high gloss finish really accentuates the natural beauty of the Quilt Maple wood - ‘Custom Shop’ outstanding quality on a great tactile and very resonant sounding guitar! This one owner superlative vintage instrument; custom ordered in 1994, has been lightly played, lovingly cherished, and is presented in near mint condition, save for a few very light polishing swirls. The rear face of the instrument is equally untouched, with absolutely no buckle rash. The hardware is bright and untarnished. The 'Maple' neck, with the original 22 nickel frets installed into an 'Ebony' fretboard showing only very light play wear.This instrument is currently strung with medium gauge strings (010-.046). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set to Fender’s optimum playability settings by our independent luthier, with moderate relief for medium strings with a comfortable action for articulated lead lines and chord voicings.To complete, the guitar is paired with the equally rare ‘Custom Shop’ scripted plush hard shell case with key, case candy and the three original truss rod and bridge adjustment tools.
