A fantastic archtop from the Late 40's! The Gibson L-7C was produced between '48 and '72 and featured a hand carved spruce top over a maple back and sides. This example Is absolutely beautiful. The Sunburst practically glows! This instrument has No obvious damage or cracks or evidence of repairs. We put the guitar under a black light and it glowed brightly, indicating a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, that may have been oversprayed sometime over the decades. This L-7 has an amazing sound that is full while still maintaining a wonderful mid jazzy punch. The neck is straight, the action is good, and this guitar recently had a setup here at Subway guitars.Comes with the Original Brown hard caseBrand: GibsonModel : L-7CFinish: SunburstHandedness: RightMade In Year 1948Top : Solid Carved SpruceBack and Sides: Solid Carved MapleFinish Material: Nitro Cellulose LacquerNeck/Fingerboard: Maple neck w/ Brazilian Rosewood boardFingerboard Radius: 12"Brace Pattern: Tone barsTuners Original KlusonsBridge OriginalElectronics: NoneScale Length 25.5"Nut Width 1.68"String Spacing at Saddle 2.04"Contains Brazilian Rosewood (Y/N) YCase : Original Hard CaseModifications/Repairs: Top, back & sides overspray
