It has been sparingly played and put back carefully only to sit under the bed for a few years. The guitar is original throughout and looks exceptional with its VOS finish. The guitar is in showroom condition with no fretwear, dings or damage. A great investment opportunity too based on the gradual increase in prices of all other previous Gibson Custom Shop Historic 58-60 Les Paul anniversary reissues of the past. For the 60th Anniversary of the 1960 "Bursts" Gibson really pulled out all the stops with beautiful wood selections, historic parts and lots of attention to detail. The most historically accurate reissues to date with historic spec plastics and materials. The washed bourbon VOS finish looks exceptional and will age beautifully over time. The top is also outstanding and very 3dimensional in different lights. It isn't quite a full-on flame or quilt top but somewhere between the two, really nice to see something a little different. The fingerboard is beautifully dark with tight grain, which is exactly what we look for in our Les Pauls. All woods are hand selected as you'd expect on the very best in the Gibson line. In terms of tone these are some of the best PAF pickups we've ever heard in a 1960 reissue, with custom wound Gibson Custom Bucker Alnico III pickups. According to Gibson these are some of the most historically accurate unpotted PAF clones on the market right now, with an ultra-rich harmonic quality. As close as you'll get to the classic Les Paul tone. The 1960 V3 neck profile is a slimmer C shape feeling fantastic in hand and very fast to play as you would expect.
