The Gibson L-50 "round hole" is a rare model, made for just three years, each with its own body shape - so this guitar design in particular was made for just one year with some getting F holes instead of the round soundhole.As a 1934, the guitar has an arched spruce top, 14.75" lower bout and a flat, mahogany back.The instrument is in excellent condition - a 90 year old piece that really held up well.This is a really fun guitar to play. The body is small and very comfortable to get your arms around.  The big V neck has a great feel and the tone is punchy and very old school.I am sure the neck has been reset at some point, and the frets professionally replaced.  The bridge saddle sits low, but the action is perfect.The pickguard is missing - it likely disintegrated.  The tuners are original and are in excellent shape with none bent or otherwise difficult to turn.A beautiful and unique piece that includes the original case. Mahar's Vintage Guitars is a brick-and-mortar and web-based retailer.
