There is some disagreement among custom color aficionados about Gibson reds. Some say the darker one is Ember Red and most say the darker one is Cardinal Red. The Gibson color chart has it backwards, apparently. My backyard is full of cardinals and they all look like this guitar. Custom color Firebirds don't seem to come up for sale very often and this color apparently wasn't all that popular. I've seen three others in 25 years. It's very clean but not near mint. The wacky thing is somebody lightly carved the number 5 and the number 10 into the neck at (yep) the 5th and 10th frets. Firebirds can be tricky to play if you're used to something else. The neck is so far out of the body that you're always a fret or two off if you're playing by muscle memory. I guess one of the previous owners had that problem. Speaking of previous owners, this, according to the current owner, was owned by Brian Setzer. I have no documentation of that so add a buck for provenance that doesn't exist (yet). The guitar is bone stock with no issues other than the 5 and 10. Surprising, the guard hasn't shrunk enough to pull out the bottom screw like 90% of these have. Good functional original case.
