Wildwoodians, does anybody want to start a band called Nathaniel Rate-Lifter Puller that does Lifter Puller songs in the style of Nathaniel Rateliff? Or maybe Nathaniel Rateliff songs in the style of Lifter Puller? Maybe the juice wasn't worth the squeeze on this particular niche pun, but this uber-clean Nathaniel Rateliff LG-2 Western definitely is! Mr. Rateliff is one of Colorado's favorite sons, and this serial is a fine example of his signature model's power.
Frankly, it's a wooden Swiss Army knife! Its medium body size allows for excellent articulation and clarity, but it still has enough oomph and headroom to work beautifully as a strummer. It has an immediate, piano-like attack that gives way to warm, woody resonance. The mids are punchy, the highs have just the right amount of sparkle, and the lows are substantial without being overbearing. All in all, it would make a marvelous guitar for anyone looking for an acoustic that can do it all (especially since it has a killer LR baggs pickup for live use.
It's also quite clean! It shows hardly any signs of use except for a scratch on the treble-side lower bout on the top. It comes with its original hardshell case and all its case candy, too!

Most importantly, it's a fantastic track by The Replacements, the greatest band of all time! Here, we use the phrase to refer to items that don't fit the traditional mold of what we showcase on our website: used items, oddities, guitars from deep in the Wildwood vault, and some plain good 'ol fashioned deals. Think of Left of the Dial as a place where you can find punk rock items in a rock and roll retail world. We do it for fun and to give our amazing customers another chance to snag some sweet gear at a fraction of the full price.
