Description

A 1936 Martin 000-18 , one of a batch registered in June of that year.It has a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and bridge. The replica bridge was made from Brazilian rosewood by Brook Guitars in the UK, one of the finest guitar makers in England. The bridgeplate is original as is the original finish with the exception of a little drop finish where the wear is evident on the top. The tip of the headstock also has a small area where the finish was touched up.The guitar has no cracks and has had the benefit of a neck reset also by Brook Guitars in the UK.I have an interesting 2 page letter from Mike Longworth of Martin dated October 25th 1988 which discuss's the guitar with the then owner.Non original premium Hiscox case.Anyone looking at this listing probably knows plenty about these guitars, I have had the pleasure of ownership since 2016. I have owned plenty of guitars vintage and contemporary, so how would I describe its sound? In short this guitar always seems to make me sound better than I should.Come and try it out.It needs to be played.I have the original Grover tuners, it currently wears modern Waverlys for tuning stability. No zero transaction bidders please.
