Here's something you don't see everyday, a 1929 Martin O-18K model with a Flamed Koa  body!  This little box has got Tone to the bone and is a great looker. This unit was made at the original C. F. Martin production facility in Nazareth PA. U.S.A.The body is in excellent condition with no creaks or rattles.  The binding is clean and in excellent condition.  There is one small line split where the two pieces of the top join, behind the bridge-see photos.  It is stable and a non-issue other than being a slight cosmetic.  That's it.  The rest is in excellent condition.  The structure is super solid with no issues.  There is nice flame throughout the top sides and back.  There is some wear in the lacquer in the area that most guitars have a pickguard in-see photos. The rest is really clean.  The top has a minute lift behind the bridge area and I would consider it to be very flat and in excellent shape for its age-see photos with and without strings (appears to be the same). The neck angle is excellent with no issues and it is solid. it is an excellent fitment.  The Mahogany neck itself is straight and has an amazingly smooth feel.  The profile is clean and measures .850" deep at the 1st fret and .953" deep at the 9th fret.  The original tuners all function perfectly and smoothly.   The C.F. Martin production stamp on the back of the headstock is clean and crisp.  The headstock displays nicely.  The Ebony fingerboard is super clean with only faint (if any) playing wear on the 2nd or 3rd position-see photos.  The frets are super clean, a light polish is all that was required to get them thing like new-see photos.  The guitar has low action and a minimal relief.  It plays great up and down the fingerboard with zero dead spots.  The tone is what you would expect from any small box vintage Martin:  Loud, tight and brilliant.  The dynamic expression is very surprising for this size of body, but that's why they are so desirable, right? The guitar is super light weight and very comfortable. It is a lot of fun to play and perfect for the studio, couch, stage or wherever.  It Sounds fantastic and is a killer player.  A great addition to anyone's collection.   It is ready to play and needs nothing.Comes with a Guild hard case for protection.I have taken several photos to show how it looks in different lighting for your viewing. Photo props including signs, straps, cords, cars, shoes, dentures, toothbrushes, dust, albums, clothes or photos are not included unless noted otherwise.
