This 1963 Gibson Les Paul Junior is in exceptional condition, 100% original, and comes with the original croc case. 1963 marks the final year of the Gibson Les Paul Junior. Later that year, this model was officially renamed the Solid Guitar, or SG. This Junior still features "Les Paul" on the headstock. It’s a lightweight (2.75 kg) and resonant guitar with plenty of volume even when played unplugged. The dog-ear P90 pickup delivers a beautifully warm tone with a nice "bite." The guitar has a chunky neck reminiscent of late-’50s Gibson necks and retains the classic nut width of 43mm (1 11/16 inches). Cherry Red Gibsons from this era often fade to a brown/orange shade. However, this Junior has retained the same vibrant red color it had when it left the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo in 1963. The only thing that hasn’t stood the test of time is the pickguard, which has cracked in two places due to plastic shrinkage. Feel free to come and give it a thorough test. It can also be shipped worldwide. Do you have questions or would you like to see more photos of the guitar? Get in touch! Weight: 2.75 kg
