A pre-war D-18 is among the most sought-after vintage guitars. This 1936 model is a remarkably clean instrument with warm vintage tonewoods. Its sound is pure and balanced, featuring rich lows and responsive highs. To ensure its playability for years to come, this guitar has undergone several regular repairs: a neck reset, replacement of the bridge (made by Caleb Smith), saddle, end pin, and nut, a re-fret and fretboard plane, a 3-inch hairline back crack near the waist on the treble side, a 1-inch side indentation on the treble side lower bout. The original bridge plate has holes filled from a previously installed bridge. Most importantly, this guitar sounds fabulous! Caleb Smith said it's one of his favorite sounding guitars to date.Period correct green velvet lined hardshell case included.
