1981 Rickenbacker 4080/12 White, 4 String Bass over a 12 String Guitar OHSCSerial Number: UL4276 OHSC,We are just thrilled to have this Rickenbacker 4080/12 Double Neck , It is a one owner and has been kept in safe and cased it's entire life.This model is a doubleneck combination electric bass and electric twelve string. Each neck has two pickups. Solid body with two set necks. Deluxe features.This is a great example of the rare and super cool Rickenbacker 4080 Jet Glo double neck. Rickenbacker started making a very limited production run of double necks in 1975 - before that they were special order only – with three models – a 12-string /6-string guitar and two models with guitar and bass – the 4080-12 (4-string on top, 12-string on bottom) and the 4080 (4-string on top, 6-string on bottom). This is a rare 1986 Rickenbacker model 4080 double neck (six string 480 guitar and four string 4001 bass). There were roughly only about 450 ever produced and only about 50 of the 4080/12, this a rare Bird.CONDITION: this is simply excellent condition, it truly was cased most of it's life. We went through it stem to stern and it is amazing. All electronics are original and solid. Both Neck Joints are solid and the Intonation is spot on. The Truss Rods on Both Necks are free and work perfect.There are a few signs of light play wear a couple of small breaks in the paint but that is it and acceptable it is a 43 year old vintage Guitar and it is heavy. The Bass Pickup Cover was removed years ago which was typical, we ordered another one from Rickenbacker to complete it. This really is in Excellent Condition, there are only a couple of breaks in the paint, the patina is just stunning. There is a small dimple on the back of the Bass neck but it is fine. What an addition to any Studio, Stage or Collection.
