Description

This is a 2014 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard 1959 Reissue with some very interesting specs. Previous owner had contacted Gibson to order a R9 similar to the Joe Bonamassa Skinnerburst that also came out back in 2014 but without the big price tag. A sort of M2M before the M2M program I believe. The end result is this awesome R9. Features a Dirty Lemon Burst finish with a subtle flametop, similar to what you would see on a real burst. The flametop really pops in natural light. The fretboard grain is amazing and what might look like Madagascar Rosewood but cannot tell for sure. The hardware is factory aged to replicate a vintage look but no aging on the guitar. The back and neck look gorgeous with the same deep cherry red and wood grain found on the Skinnerburst model. We got the looks of the Skinnerburst as close as possible but what about the tone ? Well the pickups have been swapped for a set of Limited Edition Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Joe Bonamassa Skinnerburst PAFs and they sound right on the money. These are one of the most authentic sounding PAFs and all the details are right, even the covers are aged just like the ones found on the real Skinnerburst. The neck profile is a very comfortable 59 , just perfect and plays great with very low action. The guitar weights only 8.5lbs, light and resonant. We have all the ingredients for a great Les Paul. The guitar is in excellent condition, the top is free of any scratches or dings, I could only see two dings on the back (see photo) and just overall normal wear. Comes with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardcase , all the papers and certificate of authenticity. Here is your chance to get a "Skinnerburst" with the right pickups for half the price of a Skinnerburst. No import charges for North America buyers.
