Description

This 1952 Fender Telecaster features a neck and body shaped by the early '50s Fender factory craftsman Tadeo Gomez. The body is one piece of beautiful ash. The neck shape is, well... perfect. Tadeo's neck shapes just beg to be played and this guitar's neck couldn't feel better. The guitar has been refinish and despite that it's 6.4 pounds of tone. This is killer sounding Tele. We'll list the non-original features of the guitar in the next paragraph. This Tele comes with a cool: early '60s brown tolex case.Neck Date: "TG 10 - 16 - 52." Body Date: "Tadeo 9 - 17 - 52." The neck and body have been refinshed using polyurethane. The guitar has an old refret and the nut's been replaced. The logo on the headstock is not original. The tuners are old Kluson copies. The pickguard is a reproduction of an original blackguard pickguard and includes the "Paint can ring" on the underside. The saddles are newer brass replacements. The pots are modern CTS and the switch has been replaced. The pickups have both been rewound professionally and they sound great.

About Telecaster

The Fender Telecaster, known affectionately as the "Tele," emerged as the first mass-produced solid-body electric guitar, marking a significant milestone in music history. Its straightforward design and innovative sound paved the way for new trends in electric guitar manufacturing and popular music. Since its debut in the 1950s, the Telecaster has been celebrated for its versatility, serving artists across genres from country to jazz, rock, and beyond. Its solid construction, characterized by a single-cutaway body made typically from alder or ash and a bolt-on maple neck, contributes to its distinct, bright, and cutting tone as well as a warm, mellow sound depending on pickup selection. With minor modifications over the years, the Telecaster has remained largely faithful to its original design, featuring two single-coil pickups, a three-way selector switch, and simple volume and tone controls. This enduring design has kept the Telecaster relevant and in continuous production, solidifying its status as a beloved icon in the guitar world.
