Description

Beautiful and super cool old small body acoustic. Looks awesome with original black finish and tiger stripe guard. Plenty of wear but no cracks or major issues. Plays very nicely with large C neck, 1.68 or 1 11/16th nutwidth. The Brazilian rosewood board is in good shape and the original small frets have very little wear. The low E nut slut is just a little too low and if you attack the string heavily open it makes a buzzing noise. To me and many this seemed like a L00 but upon getting a magnifying camera in the sound hole the previous owner was able to make out the FON which according to Spann’s book makes it a 41’ L-0. It sounds absolutely incredible! Killer midrange richness and bright chimey high end thats very musical and sweet. Loud for its size and a unique and distinct voice I’ve not heard like it. A piece of Gibson and Americana history and would make a strong case for best couch guitar ever. Comes with an old aftermarket hard shell case. (It also has a snake rattle in the body I can remove if you’d like)
