Description

I bought this guitar from a gypsy fortune tellers son on seaside Ave. In Waikiki. The headstock was broken off but he had stuck it back together with bondo like what you use in automobile repairs. Anyway I like the guitar and we settled on a price of $75. I took it home and tried to play it and the headstock immediately broke away from the bondo repair and was hanging from the strings. I put it in the case of forgot about it till about 1980 when I was living back in California. I showed it to a Carpenter friend of mine who wanted to try to fix it so I let him and he built a beautiful new headstock sawed off the old headstock completely and glued the new one in place it looked OK. But when he sought off the remaining part of the headstock he sawed through the Truss rod. So immediately after the strings were put back on like in a day or two the whole neck gave way fell apart I put it away again for 10 more years or 15 and then in the 90s I sent it to the Gibson repair shop in Tennessee and had a new neck built for it. They use the old fret board that it came with put it back together and send it back it looks pretty nice.
