Description

When you open the case of this Heavy Relic Strat by masterbuilder Vincent van Trigt, you can't help but think of the legendary “Mother” by Philipp Sayce. It's wonderful what van Trigt has conjured up here again. The fabulous finish in yellowish “Olympic White” with countless hairline cracks, larger and smaller flaws, considerable paint abrasion and artificially “dirty” areas gives the guitar a phenomenal vintage patina. Finished with reliced, gold-colored tuners, extremely aged plastic parts and the deep dark rosewood fingerboard, the result is a unique look, whereby the sound and playability of this Stratocaster are also at the very highest level. The beautiful AA flamed neck feels like it has been played in for 30 years and the guitar resonates as if it had been on the road for exactly that long. The “60 Style Oval C” neck profile, 9.5'' fingerboard radius and Vintage Upgrade frets ensure the very best playability. In terms of sound, Vincent uses “Handwound Fat 50's” for earthy, expressive sounds, ideal for the perfect Blues sound. Lots of smack, very bell-like and warm with a great attack. You are immediately reminded of the typical John Mayer sound. Every facet of this Strat is absolutely top league and we would like to congratulate the future owner on this fantastic gem in top condition. The fact that van Trigt guitars are currently the most sought-after masterbuilds, especially because Vincent has left the Fender Custom Shop, which of course guarantees the very best value retention, can only put another grin on your face with this phenomenal overall package.incl. original case, certificate, spec sheet, strap, case candiesweight: 3520 gramssubject to differential taxation
