I bought this guitar in 2012, along with several others when I started collecting guitars at a very rapid pace. Sadly, I just put it away and put it with the rest of my inventory. The guitar is essentially brand spanking new. You won't even find any pick rash on the pick guard. In the meantime, this guitar has aged beautifully in that it has really opened up and sounds freakin amazing! The ONLY reason I am selling this is because I have 6 other Gibson acoustics that I have decided to keep. I just retired and simply do not have the room to keep them all. My loss will be your gain! Let me tell you a little about this warm sounding guitar. For starters, it was restrung and set up by a luthier a little over a week ago. Action is nice and low with no buzz anywhere. The playability is off the charts! Gibson took their already popular square shouldered dreadnaught body style and added a cutaway, making it a very attractive and very playable guitar. This is a great performing instrument with outstanding warm acoustic tone plus Fishman active electronics. It sounds great onstage and unplugged! The Songwriter Deluxe has a AA Sitka Spruce top , while the back and sides are constructed from rosewood, giving it a very balanced warm tone with clear lows and solid treble registers. The fingerboard is constructed of the highest grade ebony on earth. The resilience of this durable wood makes the fingerboard extremely balanced and stable, and gives each note and chord unparalleled clarity and bite! If you are a singer song writer, or you do your own share of gigging at local venues, this guitar is definitely you!
