Description

There are only 50 specimens of the Les Paul 1959 Billy Gibbons Pearly Gates Aged & Signed, which certainly belong to the most sought-after and coveted Les Pauls. Of course the most highly traded examples are also the so-called single digits, i.e. with a single-digit serial number. This fact makes it all the more incredible that today we are in the excellent position of being able to offer you this specimen with serial number 003(!). This is the lowest available serial number, as serial numbers 001 and 002 went directly to Billy Gibbons and were therefore never available on the market. "Pearly Gates” is the exact replica of Billy Gibbons‘ ’59 Burst and is considered one of the best '59 replicas ever made by the Gibson Custom Shop. The complete aging was done by Tom Murphy himself and the 50 hand-signed copies were all played by Billy Gibbons. Of course this guitar is an absolute collector's item and prices are rising all the time. But beyond that, it really is a damn good Les Paul that stands out with its great vibration behavior even when played dry. The pickups used are the “Pearly Gates” humbuckers from Seymour Duncan. And together with the fantastic resonance they produce an incredible tone. “La Grange”, ‘Tush’ and ‘Jesus Just Left Chicago’, ...these are the songs that immediately catch your ear. You simply have to play it to experience its full sonic power. As far as sound, look and feel are concerned, it will certainly be difficult to find a Les Paul that comes closer to the original from 1959 than this “Pearly Gates”. ...and the fact that it is the lowest available serial number and offers the greatest rarity value with the best value retention only makes this phenomenal instrument even more interesting!incl. original case, certificate, hangtagsweight: 4095 gramssubject to differential taxation
