Description

Northwest Vintage Guitars found a rare Martin D Mahogany 09 in great shape with the original case.  If you've never played one of these, you owe it to yourself.  Martin utilized a vintage spec forward shifted Scalloped X bracing like they did back in the day.  It's similar to the D18GE bracing, but the D Mahogany has a twist - all sustainably sourced solid European Spruce tops and braces mated with Certified Solid Mahogany Neck, Back and Sides.  The result is a super light and balanced guitar with incredible warm and clear highs that balance nicely against the well defined low end a present mids.  Very well balanced and excellent clarity.  Only 93 of these Green Label 09's were produced.  Specs from Martin:Construction: Certified Mahogany Blocks/Dovetail Neck Joint Body Size: D-14 Fret Top: Solid Certified European Spruce Rosette: Old Style 18 Top Bracing Pattern: Standard ''X'' Scalloped, Forward Shifted Top Braces: Solid Certified European Spruce, 5/16'' Back Material: Solid Certified Mahogany Back Purfling: None Side Material: Solid Certified Mahogany Endpiece: Tortoise Color - Brown Endpiece Inlay: Black/White Boltaron Binding: Tortoise Color - Brown Top Inlay Style: Multiple Black/White Boltaron Side Inlay: None Back Inlay: Black/White Boltaron Neck Material: Certified Genuine Mahogany Neck Shape: Modified V Nut Material: Bone Headstock: Solid/Long Diamond/Square Taper Headplate: Solid Certified Mahogany Heelcap: Tortoise Color - Brown Fingerboard Material: Solid Certified Katalox Scale Length: 25.4'' # Of Frets Clear: 14 # Of Frets Total: 20 Fingerboard Width At Nut: 1-3/4'' Fingerboard Width At 12th Fret: 2-1/4'' Fingerboard Position Inlays: Old Style 18 - Bone Fingerboard Binding: None Finish Back & Sides: Polished Gloss Finish Top: Polished Gloss with Aging Toner Finish Neck: Satin Bridge Material: Solid Certifed Katalox Bridge Style: 1930s Style Belly with Drop-In Long Saddle Bridge String Spacing: 2-5/16'' Saddle: 16'' Radius/Bone Tuning Machines: Nickel Open-Geared with Butterbean Knobs Recommended Strings: Martin Studio Performance Medium Phosphor Bronze (MSP4200) Bridge & End Pins: Bone with Black Dots Pickguard: Tortoise ColorThere is some superficial finish checking around the fingerboard extension as pictured. This item may be offered on our website and other online marketing platforms and subject to prior sale.  You can rest assured that your guitar will arrive safely.
