1959 Fender Stratocaster - 3TSB Hardtail Refinish - Last of the Maple Neck Strats1959 Fender Stratocaster three color sunburst hardtail with the last of the maple neck production in early 1959. An Authentic body and neck refinish was professionally performed at some point, done similar to factory work, but no numbers indicating R&R by Fender. A wonderful vintage refinish over a very lightweight 7.5 lb Alder Hardtail body. The highly figured maple neck is original to the guitar and has been restored to period Single Line Kluson tuners. The electronics have recently been restored to factory period correct parts! While Most of the wiring and electronics are original we had to replace the middle pickup to a period correct black bottom, All Pots 250K 1958 / 59 Pots were installed, along with a period 3-way CRL Switch. All setup and restoration work performed by Chris Fleming at Chris Fleming Guitars. This Strat sports the last of the single ply pick guards and she has outstanding sustain and play-ablility. The Original Frets and pretty low and will need to have a decision made to replace or save? Includes a nice Fender factory -Tweed Re-Issue Case circa 90's.
