In practice, they are expressive instruments that produce rich, resonant sounds.With the F body size, Lowden sought to introduce a versatile, mid-sized guitar that would appeal to a wide range of playing styles and genres.This F23 was made in 2022, and it features a Cedar top with Walnut back and sides. Under the hood, Lowden's unique "dolphin-profile" braces lend a wide dynamic range and quick, expressive response. With the softer Cedar top, this F-23 would be a natural fit for fingerstyle guitar, but it also produces a powerful, articulate sound. In your hands, this 2022 F-23 feels manageable and comfortable, and the 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck has an approachable C-shaped profile.Lowden's F is a unique mid-size body that is still 4-7/8" deep, so it produces more bass than you would expect. This F23 has a 25-1/2" scale length, the nut width measures 1-3/4", and the string spacing is 2-3/16" at the saddle. It is outfitted with Gotoh 510 tuners and Lowden's split-saddle top-loader bridge.This 2022 Lowden F-23 is gently used and is in great cosmetic condition. It has been played, but wear is minimal (see photo, one small ding lower bout). This one is clean — there's not even a strap button on the heel! Lowden's are well-made guitars and this one shows substantial build-quality. I love the understated appointments because they don't distract you from the beautiful character of fine woods—in this case, Cedar and gorgeous Walnut!
