Alongside Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock Strat and Stevie Ray Vaughan's “Number One”, Eric Clapton's “Blackie” is one of the icons of Strat history. Assembled from the parts of three different vintage Strats, Blackie accompanied the master on tour and in the studio for decades. In 2004 it was auctioned off for the incredible sum of $959,000 to benefit Clapton's Crossroads Center. However, before it went to its new owner it made a stopover at the Fender Custom Shop. There Blackie was meticulously analyzed and measured to make an exclusive new edition possible: the Blackie Tribute Stratocaster, which was offered in a limited edition of 275 pieces in 2006. Only 90 specimens of these left the USA and we are delighted to be able to offer you serial number DG403 here. Built by masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka, the guitar has all the specifications and playing marks of the original - from the chipped paint on the body to the discoloration of the fingerboard and the cigarette burns on the headstock. The precisely reproduced V-neck profile and the specially wound pickups ensure that you get exactly the feel and sound of the original. There is also a detailed replica of the original “Duck Bros” flight case, as well as all the accessories and documentation material. Blackie Tributes are extremely rare on the market and this one comes to its future owner, whom we would like to congratulate already now, in absolute collector's condition.incl. “Duck Bros” flight case, certificate, strap, books, documents, complete case candiesweight: 3460 gramssubject to differential taxation
