Here's a 2019 Martin 00-42JM-C John Mayer acoustic guitar in a very clean Ambertone Sunburst finish. This guitar is very clean - the top has a few faint indents and a few light pickmarks on the pickguard and that's about it. The back and sides are clean and glossy as well - with very light, if any, signs of playwear. The back has a small professionally touched up lacquer crack - very well done and nearly invisible - see pics below. The serial number is 2300309  and she dates to 2019. She has a fresh set up with Martin 12's and the action is set to factory specs. The neck angle is perfect - right to the top of the bridge. In honor of the Crossroads Guitar Festival, a limited run of 50 superbly crafted custom guitars designed by John Mayer were commissioned to benefit Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua. It features a grand concert body size similar to the late 1800's parlor guitars popular for traveling by stagecoach, imparting the "SC" appended to the model name. With a super sleek Sitka Spruce top you get a really dynamic and responsive tone. Cocobolo back and sides offer an incredible aesthetic and it responds really nicely to a players touch, offering some real sweet overtones. The Mahogany neck is an absolute dream to play. With a Standard Taper neck shape, 16" radius, 24.9" scale length and a 1 7/8" nut width, this Martin is supremely comfortable and smooth underhand. The Ebony fingerboard is the perfect partner for this neck; beautifully crafted it’s a real treat to play.This guitar is in very good condition and in perfect working order. There are some light scratches and sone wear on the top around the strumming area. Overall, I would give it a solid 8.5 out of 10 condition. Everything on the guitar is original. There are no cracks, repairs, or issues. The neck is straight with no issues. The original frets are in excellent condition with no wear.
