Vintage Correct Parts is proud to offer, for your consideration, A fantastic Vintage 1954 Gibson L-5CES !  Get your Scotty Moore on!! One of a mere 30 sunburst L-5CES guitars to ship in 1954, this is an incredible instrument and a very rare and highly collectable piece of Gibson history. This L-5 saw quite a few bandstands in it's day. This killer L-5CES is player priced and priced to SELL. With only 30 of these in existence (and how many known survivors??) - you'll NEVER have a swing at an L-5CES from 1954 for this price again. If you've been holding out, don't delay, there is only one available! While the finish on this blacklights fully and completely - it does appear the back of the neck was re-finished and possibly sanded down to a slightly slimmer profile at some point, this was clearly done many decades ago. The body and headstock are free of cracks. Only marks of honest playwear that help tell the story of this L-5's journey. The fully carved back and sides full of the deep tiger striped flamed maple that was coming out the Michigan forests in the late 40's and early 50's - the BEST of the best! This amazing L-5 was, at some point in the 1960's, professionally modified to accept 2 humbucking pickups. We opted to restore this to it's original P-90 glory, and the P-90 pickups and risers fully cover the slightly widened humbucking pickup routes. There are some changed and some original parts, please read below, this is reflected in the price! With the price of 50's L-5ces now pushing $40-50k (if you can even find one!), this is example is priced RIGHT and priced to SELL.
