Excellent - bordering on mint (because it has been played) - condition, one-owner 2012 Martin D-45 Standard Series guitar for sale to one who appreciates the unique beauty and distinct voice of this magnificent Martin flagship. Every piece of wood on this guitar is the finest available and looks it. The meticulous hand-inlayed abalone is exquisite and adds a brilliance to its appearance and contributes to a tone unmatched by other guitars. The quality of build is equal to that of any boutique guitar maker. The CF Martin block logo in abalone on the headstock proudly announces its heritage to any and all. This deeply loved guitar has always been cased and humidified and gently played. It is fully broken in with an open, aged voice unlike any other guitar. The tone is woody, sweet and clear with bell-like trebles and huge sustain with the indescribably delicious, unique something in the bass that comes only from a Martin D-45. The action is as perfect as it was the day it came from the factory and is the best playing Martin I’ve ever had the honor to play. This guitar is immaculate except for almost imperceptible, light pick scratches on the pick guard and a pinhead-sized original finish bubble defect on the top. Both are too small and too faint to photograph. It comes in its original upgraded like new Geib 545 case with all original case candy and key. The guitar is freshly polished, fret waxed and restrung with new Elixir Nanoweb medium Phosphor Bronze strings. I am also including a set of bone bridge pins with abalone dots for those who prefer bone to the original bridge pins. This guitar will be the pinnacle of most collections and deserves its place at the top. The only reason that I am parting with my precious D-45 is because of age, arthritis and no musical heirs. This beauty needs and wants to be played and deserves more than I can give it now. The new owner gets a Martin heirloom in near-perfect condition for thousands less than new.
