Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '60 Stratocaster is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders! The traditional Alder body is finished in a stunning Heavy Relic Cadillac Green over 3-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The 5/4 quartersawn Maple neck has a smooth finish. With an AAA Rosewood fingerboard, 7.25"-9.5" compound radius and 21 StewMac #0155 frets, the '60 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 60 style oval C profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing - measuring .790" at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th fret. With the Stratocaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Strat sound. With a trio of Josefina hand-wound pickups - 69 Strats in neck and middle and a Fat 60s in bridge - it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see the Fender Masterbuilders are so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day, we love it and we're pretty sure you will to!
