Cutaway Grand Auditorium: The mahogany/cedar Legacy 514ce and rosewood/cedar Legacy 714ce honor the iconic Grand Auditorium body style—which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year—with two classic cutaway GA models that aren’t currently available in the Taylor line. • Western Red Cedar tops: Offering a warmth and touch sensitivity that fingerstyle players and light to moderate strummers will love, these guitars record really well. These models offer players a choice between mahogany and rosewood tonal flavors. • X-Bracing: These are voiced the way the original models were in the ‘90s and 2000s. • Patented Taylor neck • Onboard Electronics: LR Baggs Element VTC (volume, tone, compression), featuring an undersaddle pickup and all-discrete, Class A preamp that includes a soundholemounted volume and tone control. Appointments: • Legacy 514ce: Faux tortoiseshell binding (body and fretboard) with black and white top purfling, mother-of-pearl small diamond fretboard inlays • Legacy 714ce: Black plastic binding with black and white pinstripes on the top, side and back, and green abalone dot fretboard inlays (6.3mm) • Both models: Green abalone three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, gloss-finish body and satin-finish neck, faux tortoiseshell pickguard and Taylor gold tuning machines.
