One of history's most iconic bands hit the scene hard in 1969 with their self-titled debut album - none other than the legendary Led Zeppelin. The union of Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, John Bonham, and of course Jimmy Page changed music forever with a pioneering sound that defined hard rock and heavy metal. But Page's folk influence and range showcase themselves too in the album's acoustic tracks; Page's go-to acoustic guitar for Zeppelin's 36 hours in Olympic Studios was none other than a Gibson 1964 SJ-200.The Gibson Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 is a meticulously crafted, limited edition acoustic guitar designed in collaboration with Jimmy Page. Every aspect of this instrument, from its tone to its aesthetic features, has been shaped by Page's personal input, ensuring it delivers a truly authentic experience. The guitar features highly flamed AAA maple for the back and sides, paired with a AAA Sitka spruce top and multi-ply front and back binding. This combination of premium tonewoods, along with a slightly deeper Super Jumbo body design, gives the guitar a distinctive and unique sound. The neck of the guitar is constructed from 3-piece highly flamed maple, with a comfortable Round profile that ensures smooth playability. It features a bound rosewood fretboard with 20 frets and mother-of-pearl Graduated Crown inlays, adding a touch of luxury to the instrument's design. With a 1-11/16" bone nut and a 25.5" scale length, the "Round" profile neck is supremely comfortable to play and accurate to the real thing. The 60s-style solid rosewood Moustache bridge, adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays, is equipped with a gold Tune-O-Matic bridge with nylon saddles, offering a unique tonal character. The guitar also includes vintage-style gold Kluson Waffleback tuners with Keystone buttons, complementing its classic design. Each guitar in this series is personally signed by Jimmy Page on the soundhole label, making it a rare collector's item. The guitar has been aged using Gibson Custom's Murphy Lab techniques, which were specifically tailored to replicate the look and feel of Jimmy Page's original instrument. This light ageing process adds to the authenticity, capturing the essence of a vintage guitar while maintaining modern playability. The guitar comes with a Gibson Custom hardshell case featuring Page's iconic Zoso logo as well as a Gibson "The Garden" vintage-style strap, an additional Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold-plated brass saddles, and a Zoso Certificate of Authenticity. With only 100 guitars produced, the Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 is an exclusive model created by Gibson's expert luthiers in Bozeman, Montana. This limited-edition guitar not only honours the craftsmanship of the original but also celebrates the legacy of one of the most influential guitarists in rock history.
