Up for Sale is a2022 D'Angelico Excel DC Tour Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar!
Gloss Black Finish!
This is really Cool. You are looking at a 2022 D'Angelico Excel DC Tour Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar. Built with the gigging player in mind, the Excel DC Tour from D'Angelico is both exceptionally well-constructed and highly playable. It retains beloved elements of its standard Excel Series counterpart with an ebony fingerboard and sleek body shape, but features a refined electronics configuration consisting of a single volume and tone knob. Dual Supro Bolt Buckers provide a wide range of warm and crystal clear humbucker tones while 50s-style wiring retains top-end clarity as the volume knob is rolled off. Representing a more minimalistic D'Angelico aesthetic, the Excel DC Tour features a throwback scroll-style headstock with custom vintage Deluxe tuners from Grover and small diamond fingerboard inlays complemented by 1930s-inspired diamond f-holes.

From The Web:
D’Angelico’s Excel Tour series is purpose built to rule the road and the stage, offering a no-nonsense approach to D’Angelico style without compromising on tone or performance! Just like the Standard Excel DC, the Excel DC Tour electric guitar boasts a laminated semi-hollow maple body for an airy feel that adds a touch of definition to the dual Supro Bolt Bucker pickups’ natural warmth. On the other end, a 3-piece maple/walnut neck construction delivers truly road-ready reliability, while the ebony fingerboard’s medium-jumbo frets and 12-inch radius unlock effortless playability from the first fret to the 22nd. Lastly, while the D’Angelico Excel DC is a stripped-back 6-string, it’s still a stripped-back D’Angelico; gorgeous 3-ply neck binding, 5-ply body binding, and a tamer take on the standard D’Angelico art-deco headstock rein in the extravagance without sacrificing the brand’s iconic elegance.
Sturdy 3-piece laminate neckA sturdy neck is key to any touring musician’s 6-string, and it doesn’t get much sturdier than this D’Angelico’s 3-piece set-through design. Two pieces of rock-hard maple are laminated together with a stripe of walnut in the middle for incredible structural stability, ensuring your neck remains unphased from the onslaught of stage lights, temperature changes, and day-to-day use. All together, the dark ebony fingerboard, the 22 medium-jumbo frets, the 12-inch fingerboard radius, and the pleasing “C” profile provide wide-ranging playability ready to tackle any style.
Thunderous Supro Bolt humbuckersThis Excel Tour series instrument comes loaded with a pair of Supro Bolt Bucker pickups for a touch of raw power to complement its D’Angelico elegance! These humbucking pickups boast warm, rich tone with a surprising level of sonic clarity and detail, allowing guitarists to swap between raunchy garage rock crunch and jazzy cleans with the flick of a knob. Finally, true to the no-nonsense philosophy of the Excel Tour series, this guitar forgoes the traditional 4-knob setup for a far more stage-friendly 2-knob volume and tone control scheme — a superior setup when making quick on-the-fly adjustments.
D'Angelico: a history of guitar accoladesAfter mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his own shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. Following his passing, D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
